Well, you're the one who raised the subject of The Faces on a Grateful Dead blog.
The '72 Faces, touring behind A Nod Is As Good As A Wink (To A Blind Horse) were one of the finest English rock bands ever, live and in the studio. As the song (from the next album) goes, I wish that I knew what I know now, when I was younger. Ooh La La.

That's funny, because Hunt is arguing that Rod Stewart and Faces is the best rock and roll band on the planet, or something.
ReplyDeleteYou could make a good argument for that in '72 (I didn't see them until '73, and Ronnie Lane had left, and they were a step slow, if still great)
