8/21/71 is the putative date of the "Mickey's Barn" show which also
ReplyDeleteincluded Garcia and, I believe, at least one or two other New Riders.
Maybe it occurred after the Inn of the Beginning show (or was attributed to the wrong date?).
I find it perfectly plausible that they played around in the barn during the afternoon and gigged later that night up the road from Novato in Cotati.
ReplyDeleteLIA, I think, has pointed out that on the 8/21/71 Hart's Barn tape Garcia takes his leave, saying he has to go play somewhere. We presume he is referring to this Saturday gig at the Inn.
