It might have been in the air, but so far there's no evidence for it having been printed.Fate Musichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05648291938690043423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18366371.post-8661780217251263622019-02-26T08:22:34.762-07:002019-02-26T08:22:34.762-07:00Apologies if this was mentioned somewhere else, bu...Apologies if this was mentioned somewhere else, but I just stumbled upon this at GDAO: the ad for the 12/13/74 Seattle show, billing them as "Jerry Garcia, Merl Saunders & Friends" - feat Jerry Garcia, Merl Saunders, John Kahn, Martin Fierro, and Ron Tutt. Hmm.

https://www.gdao.org/items/show/1696963
Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11628132999021385676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18366371.post-15393919902950614282018-11-23T18:14:44.361-07:002018-11-23T18:14:44.361-07:00Responding to old discussions, I think Tutt (and t...Responding to old discussions, I think Tutt (and the LOM name) debuted on 12/6/74, and continued into July. On nights when Tutt was not present, the band went by various flavors of JGMS.Fate Musichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05648291938690043423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18366371.post-71175916762295813922011-08-28T15:15:46.953-06:002011-08-28T15:15:46.953-06:00I don't know. Especially during transitional periods, we may find some bumping around back and forth.

Even during the LOM period, for example, we have the June 3-4, 1975 shows which were billed as Garcia & Saunders and on which Tutt was not drumming. A few weeks later, June 21-22, same venue (Keystone), Tutt's there and it's called Legion of Mary. So it's really kind of a case-by-case evaluation.Fate Musichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05648291938690043423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18366371.post-2530634721230707572011-08-28T08:31:37.377-06:002011-08-28T08:31:37.377-06:00Based on this, do you believe that Ron Tutt was a ...Based on this, do you believe that Ron Tutt was a stand-in for one night only (12/15/74) and didn't join full time until Legion of Mary, or that he was the drummer from 12/15 onward? I'd like to ensure the bands section of thejerrysite.com reflects what's known, thus the inquiry. Thanks.Ryan Shriverhttp://www.thejerrysite.comnoreply@blogger.com
