This show, and the next night at the Warfield, have Jerry launching forth into the next iteration of the Jerry Band, carrying forward the momentum of the fall '87 shows with their extended duration, and digging back into the Jerry Band as an ongoing evolution, driving forward, onward. The break-out of Don't Let Go after more than three years -- the Jerry Band's Dark Star, its site for deepest exploration, most out-side adventures -- is indicative of this re-commitment.
